It is fascinating to watch the machinations of the Republican party, post election. Over the next few weeks and months, we are bound to hear more remarks and responses from within the GOP.
A theme that has recurred in the campaign and again, post-election, is the idea that the Democrat party’s successes are due to an electorate that “wants things” (per Bill O’Reilly) and that received “gifts” (per Mitt Romney), as part of electing Obama.
Enter Bobby Jindal, Republican governor of Louisiana, who sharply rebuked Mitt Romney for his view that President Obama owed his reelection to “gifts” his administration gave to various demographic groups, saying the sentiment was not representative of what the Republican Party believes. — Aaron
